Purple Cow Cakery Summer Camp

Young Chefs (Grade K-2)
Week of July 20 – Monday thru Thursday – 9.30a-12.30p
Our Young Chefs camp is focused on having our campers explore the magic and creativity that happens in the kitchen. They will learn basic kitchen safety, how to use kitchen tools and fundamental cooking skills. Campers will form a foundation of culinary skills that they will build on as they advance in the kitchen. Our goal is to foster a love of cooking and baking by allowing our Young Chefs to experiment and create delicious culinary delights. All items will be made from scratch using a variety of fresh ingredients. A sampling of some of the culinary treats we will tackle are waffles or pancakes, smoothies, pasta salad, pizza, cake pops, brownies or cookies. All recipes change from summer to summer and week to week. If your baker attended last year or last week, not to worry, there will not be any repeats. All your baker needs to bring is an apron, a water bottle and a container to bring their delicious treats home. All other supplies will be provided. Please call to arrange early drop-off if needed.
Registration: Register online www.purplecowcakery.com/workshop. Or call 917-301-7538 to register by phone. All camps are limited to 12 participants and include instructor, Nicole Contursi and at least one kitchen assistant. All camps are filled on a first come, first served basis and require a minimum of 8 campers. Camps may be canceled due to under-enrollment. In the event a camp is canceled, a full refund will be issued. Please read our allergy notice prior to registration.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made at least one calendar month before the first day of your child’s camp. No exceptions will be made. No refunds, credits, or camp rescheduling will be allowed for cancellations made after this time. Cancellations made at least one month prior to the camp will be refunded minus a $75 cancellation fee.
Allergy Notice: This is a professional kitchen and is NOT an allergy safe environment. All our recipes are nut free, however, nuts and other allergens have been used in the kitchen we will be utilizing. If your child has food allergies, please call us to discuss prior to registering for class at 917-301-7538. Special Needs: Please let us know of any special needs your child may have at the time of registration. Special accommodations can only be made (allergies, vegetarians, etc.) with a minimum of six weeks notice to allow us to plan.
